RETURN TO SHORT NORTH ORGANIZATIONS

January 2005

The Friends of Goodale Park held their Annual Holiday Gala December 15 at Cocoa Manor, the home of Greg Zanetos. Over 250 people attended the event. Greg's home was beautifully decorated for the holidays and included over 100,000 lights illuminating the property. In addition, the event exhibited the four maquettes of proposed designs for the sculpture fountain to be placed in the Goodale Park lake so attendees could register their design preferences. The gala generated $8,000 for the sculpture fountain project. The Friends gratefully acknowledge the following Short North area businesses which donated the delicious food and wine for the fund-raiser or helped underwrite the event:

Anthony-Thomas Candy Co., Basi Italia, Café Iliana, Bruce Dooley, CRS; BD's Mongolian BBQ, Giant Eagle, Elements Grille, Hair Color Experts, Europia, Koncept Spa, Haiku, MoJo Lounge, Lemongrass, Pistachio, Northstar Café, Planet Smoothie, Piece of Cake, Posh Pets, Pizza Gourmet, Red Star Tavern, Rigsby's Cuisine Volatile, Skully's Music-Diner, Spinelli's Deli, Union Station, Zola Dining Lounge, Fifth/Third Bank, Yankee Trader, Robert Eppich, and Sharon Young!

The panel of judges for the sculpture fountain project will meet with the artists in early January and make a selection shortly thereafter.
